Hi friends,
March felt full.
Organized Chaos! Meaning a lot of moving pieces, a lot of people, and a lot of showing up.
Here’s the March edition of Field Notes.
Field Notes: Work Shenanigans
(Real Estate, Community & Keeping It Moving)
March had a little bit of everything.
I closed on a property out in Rockford, which always feels good — not just because it’s done, but because of everything that goes into getting there. Conversations, coordination, problem-solving… all the stuff people don’t always see.
I also brought a new listing to the market — 2823 Ridgeway Ave. Rockford — which meant all the usual behind-the-scenes prep, coordination, and getting everything ready before it ever goes live.
I revitalized Neighborhood Niche, which I’m really enjoying. Getting out into the community, talking to people about what they do and why they care about where they are — that kind of work just hits different.
And in between all of that, I’ve been working through my continuing education and staying on top of the Code of Ethics requirements. Not the flashy part of the job, but part of doing this right.
The steady work continues.

March also meant the Animal Rescue Expo — which is always one of my favorite things to be part of.
It’s a mix of everything I care about: animals, community, and conversations that don’t feel transactional. Just showing up, connecting, and being part of something bigger than the day-to-day.
Outside of that, this month had a lot of people in it.
Birthday celebrations, trivia night, and an afternoon of coloring eggs with friends. The kind of things that keep everything balanced.
I was also part of putting on our YPN casino night fundraiser — one of the NorthWest Illinois Aliance of Realtors committees I’m involved with — which was a fun way to bring people together outside of the usual day-to-day.
Some months are about big milestones. Some are about being out in the world and staying connected.
March was definitely the second one.
Looking Ahead
April is already shaping up to keep things moving — more conversations, more opportunities, and continuing to build on what’s already in motion.
But March was a good reminder:
The work matters.
The people matter.
Showing up — in all of it — matters.
If you’re thinking about buying, selling, land, small towns, or just want to talk something through without pressure, you know where to find me.
Thanks for being here.
